ClearStax, Inc. ("ClearStax," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We keep it in plain English because privacy shouldn't require a law degree.

- Billing information — processed by our payment provider (we never store card numbers)
- Demo requests and form submissions — name, email, company, industry, and any message you send us
- Support communications — emails, chat messages, and call notes

- Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent, clicks
- Device information — browser type, operating system, screen resolution
- Network data — IP address, approximate location (city/region level)

- Providing and improving the ClearStax platform
- Processing your demo requests and onboarding
- Sending transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, security alerts)
- Sending marketing communications (only with your consent — you can unsubscribe anytime)

- Preventing fraud and ensuring platform security

3. Third-party services
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate ClearStax:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, DDoS protection, and privacy-friendly web analytics
- Umami — self-hosted, privacy-focused website analytics
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
We do not sell your data. We do not share personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Our third-party providers only process data as necessary to provide their services to us.
4. Data security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel with multi-factor authentication. We conduct regular security assessments and maintain audit logs for all data access.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records). Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your personal data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Restrict or object to certain processing activities

We use essential cookies to keep the platform functional and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings. The platform will continue to work — you just won't contribute to our analytics.

ClearStax is a business platform. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or a prominent notice in the platform. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
